We witness a miracle every time a child enters into life.
But those who make their journey home across time & miles,
growing within the hearts of those who wait to love them,
are carried on the wings of destiny and placed among us
by God's very own hands.

Yesterday AP and some of her friends had a gymnastics playdate. We had been there before, but AP got a little more into it this time. She loved holding on to the monkey bar, then swinging and letting go, and trying to "stick it" like the big girls told her to (aka land on her feet). She did this over and over.
They all got to go on a "sled ride". At the end they laid down and closed their eyes to wait for a surprise (bubbles!).

Today was C's last day of school for the Christmas break. I can't even put into words how excited I am about the lack of alarm clock for the next few weeks. C has to be at school at the crack. of. dawn. And we are ready for a break! This morning was his class Christmas breakfast and gift exchange. Here is his sweet teacher with the class. It cracks me up. They are all doing their own thing, with very few looking at the camera. Mrs C looks like "I've lost control and don't care at this point!" Bless her heart. I don't see how she wrangles these kiddos day in and day out. She is definitely earning jewels in her crown! Speaking of crowns, and heaven, and Jesus... I love the way that the teacher reminded the kiddos today that Christmas was not about gifts but about celebrating someone very special's birthday. We are in a public school, so that's as far as she could go, but the kiddos knew exactly what she was talking about!
The other night while I was cooking dinner, I could hear Hubs in the living room teaching the kids wrestling moves (just what they need, right??) Well, yesterday I hear AP yelling "back breaker!" and I turn the corner to see this...
Yes, my sweet girl was wrestling her baby.
And, in other unrelated news, somebody around here is getting old! Hubs' birthday was last week while he was out of town. We were sad that we did not get to celebrate with him, but we have celebrated a little here and there to make up for it. Last night he actually got to blow out candles and open gifts.
Dad, that title is for you :) The kiddos and I made a birthday cake for Jesus to take to the birthday party we were having in Puggles Wednesday night.
I thought about titling this "Attack Of The Sprinkles". AP dumped a whole jar of stars right in the hole in the middle.
Here are AP and her Puggle friends after they put together their own nativity scene on the wall. Nevermind the flying camel or the star shining from the hay :)
Then it was time to dig into the cake!
Yesterday afternoon we met our good friends and headed to the mall to visit Santa again. My kiddos have already talked to him twice, but you know they have to be color coordinated to get their picture made :)
AP's Mother's Day Out program had their little Christmas performance last night. This was AP's first ever stage performance.
She talks a big game. She tells us all the time that she is going to sing on a stage and she LOVES to dance, but we know that thinking about being on stage and actually getting up there are two different things.
Hubs and I are used to watching C on stage and he usually never sings a single word, he enjoys watching everyone else. We sort of expected this from AP. Nope. She sang right along. I could tell she was even faking words at some points :) She had her hips swaying most of the time. I think she is right, I see stages in her future!
Here is a little video I took on my camera. Girlfriend was gettin' down!
