We witness a miracle every time a child enters into life. But those who make their journey home across time & miles, growing within the hearts of those who wait to love them, are carried on the wings of destiny and placed among us by God's very own hands. ~Kristi Larson~

Backing Up- Crush District Tournament
Two weeks ago the Crush played in the after season district tournament. We lost both games, but the girls played their little hearts out, especially during the 2nd game. AP was playing SS again all weekend and I could tell she was really figuring things out. She actually fielded and successfully got 2 outs! That is her favorite part :)
Oh, and C's bandaged head? Oh my. He was playing with friends by the field after our game and got hit in the back of the head with a rock. Cuts to the head really bleed!! I thought it was a lot worse that it really was ( when he first ran over to us, it looked like a gunshot wound!), but he recovered and stayed to watch the rest of the game.

Softball Camp
This week AP went to softball camp at the school I graduated from. It was fun to see her take her little bat bag up to the field I played on and set up in the dugout that I spent 3 years in :) The assistant coach from when I played is now the head coach and he ran the camp so it was fun to reminisce with him and watch him coach AP.

Mid-week we had a friend join us :)

C and I found ways to occupy ourselves during camp. The weather was perfect, so a lot of the time we spent just hanging out there and watching the girls.
C snuck in a little nap on the bleachers :)
We did a little shopping one day and C found this cool map decal for his room.
On the way home one afternoon we had to come to a complete stop as these ducks were in no hurry and were taking up the entire street!
This was one of the coaches. She and AP hit it off and became good friends :)
After the last session, we met friends at the park for a picnic. There wasn't a whole lot of playing, though. These kiddos are worn out!

Movies in the Park
Last night we met friends in a local park to watch The Smurfs. The weather was perfect for outdoor movie watching and we are looking forward to the next one!

City Tournament for The Crush
Last night the Crush played in the city tournament. Unfortunately, we lost the first game, but I am so proud of all the girls. Hubs did a great job coaching a group of girls that had never ever played before. I'm going to miss all of them!
AP got a great hit last night. She hit it over the 3rd baseman's head into the outfield! She also played short stop the entire game and did so good. She really understood what was going on and attempted to tag several girls out. She woke up this morning asking if we were playing today because she really wanted to tag some girls out! The only thing she didn't like was the ump nick naming her "little bit" :). The ump did comment that AP had the best swing on the team. Way to go, Little Bit!
