Saturday, C and I started out the day by going to see a play. We went to see The 3 Little Pigs at the Belcourt Theatre in a historic part of Nashville. We went with one of C's little girlfriends and her mother. The kiddos were really into the play. They huffed and puffed and help blow houses down. There was adult humor in the play, too, which kept us moms entertained. The Big Bad Wolf actually owned a mortgage company and was taking the straw and stick houses back b/c one owed a balloon payment and the other had an ARM mortgage and couldn't pay up!
After the play we walked around the village area. We walked to a little pizza place and enjoyed a 5 cheese artichoke pizza. Guess who saw his shadow on Groundhog Day?
It was a very fun date with my little man and our friends. C was soooo tired when we got home. Then yesterday we went to a Superbowl party with friends from church. Check out how cute these are...I made them for the party.
They are cupcakes! I can't take credit for the idea, though. I saw it on another adoptive mama's blog. Who knew you could bake ice cream cones?

Alright, now I'm hungry. I'll come to your house anytime for dinner. What a wonderful day and a great book!!! Can you find one for Kyrgyzstan too? Talk about a big boy, it's hard to watch them grow so fast. He looks deliriously happy. M looks older because of his hair not to mention he wears 18 mo clothes, what happened to 11.3 lbs?
Those pictures are really good!!! I love the one with him standing at the end of the tunnel! Looks like you had fun!

what a cool mom you have C! I remember those cupcake-ice cream cones from elementary school! Kids used to bring them for snack on their birthdays. I was never cool enough to have them :(
Did I KNOW you are in my back yard?? I'm in the Middle TN area as well. We are hoping to get our referral from Kyrg in the next few months. It will be SO GREAT to have someone in the area to get together with for playdates occasionally. Loved the painted faces for your race pix. I'm impressed. I don't think I could run around my house, much less a marathon!!
What a fun day!! I love having "big boy days" with my little boys. Also, love that book. Eloise in Moscow is one of Chipmunk's all-time favorites!
