Winding Down

C's baseball season is winding down. It feels like we just started! We had a game tonight, we have one tomorrow night, then 2 on Saturday. This is one of our friends watching the game tonight with a lap full of little girls :)

After the game tonight we went out for pizza with Boompa and Baba. Good food and good times! (well, except for when C gave Boompa a really aggressive hug and they both almost knocked over all the candy machines!)

Memorial Day

Thank you to all those who have served, are serving, or died serving our country. We had a busy Memorial weekend. Here are our little firecrackers after church yesterday.

This morning we met some friends at Monkey Joe's to jump out some energy.

Tonight we had a family cookout and talked about some plans for THE BEACH NEXT WEEK. I am so ready for the mess of sand everywhere. Bring it on!

Adding to the Collection

C got another gameball today! There were actually 4 players that got gameballs. They were all a part of a rally in the last inning to win the game! We're back home for a nap before our second game tonight. We love baseball season!

Lounge and Store

Nanna got the kiddos these sofa toyboxes for their birthdays and they were delivered today. I think they are adorable! I chose the fabrics to match their rooms and their names are embroidered on them. If you know me well, then you know I love all things personalized :) I smudged their names in the pictures, though.
The website that I ordered them from is http://www.creativedesignsforkids.com/ . They have lots of other cute stuff, too.

The End of a Chapter

Today was a happy yet sad day. It was C's last day of preschool, also more than likely the last day at the school he attends. I was planning on him going tomorrow because they have a half day, but when I picked him up his teacher told me there was really no need for the students to come tomorrow. I just said "ok, then maybe we'll just stay home." I got in my car and drove off, then it hit me-- that makes today his last day. ever. I didn't even hug the teacher or thank her for all she did and the little extras she did for C. I just drove off. I felt so bad once I realized that was the last time I would talk to his teachers. I may be biased, but I know that C really was a favorite and will be missed.

At least I thought ahead a little bit and gave the teachers their end-of-the-year presents today. I have heard that teachers get tired of the cheesy handmade gifts and would prefer a simple gift card or something they can really use. So you teachers out there let me know if that's true. We went the cheesy handmade route. I couldn't resist. I made totes in the school colors and C made little plaques with his hand print and a note from him.

Then to make today even more special C got a HOMERUN tonight!!!!!!! He actually didn't step on first or third base, but the other team didn't protest and he was soooooo excited! He got the gameball, too!

Back At The Zoo

Last summer we spent many days at our local zoo. Today was our first day back this year. I went with C's class on his field trip. Although it was a school field trip, the class doesn't stay together, so it was really like we went to the zoo by ourselves. It was PERFECT weather for a zoo visit.
Tonight we read a new book that we ordered through Scholastic and C's school. At the end of the book the old lady burped up a sandcastle and C thought it was HILARIOUS! He seriously laughed for almost five minutes. So I just thought I'd give an impromptu preschool book review and recommend that if you see it in the next book order it is totally worth the $1 that it cost! And you didn't think I could get away with not taking a picture of AP and her book did you???
