All Skate

Friday night the kiddos were invited to their first roller skating party. I hadn't been roller skating since probably late elementary. It was so much fun! Both the kiddos loved it. AP has already asked if she can have a roller skating party at her next birthday. C incorporated some robot dance moves into his skating.

You do what you have to do to hang on.
All couples to the rink.

I have to admit that the grown ups had just as much fun as the kids!

BDP, Bike Day, and Buckets of Candy

Every other Thursday at our school is BDP, Blue Devil Pride. Everyone is encouraged to wear their Blue Devil gear. The high school football players come to the elementary classrooms and talk to the children about making good choices, doing your best, etc. They also get the kids pumped up about the upcoming game. This past week C and I had on matching outfits and I couldn't pass up a picture!
Thursday was also Bike Day at AP's school.

Friday was Homecoming for the Blue Devils. The kiddos and I met up with friends to watch the Homecoming parade. It was HOT and the parade started about 30 minutes late, but I'm sure the kiddos would say that the ton of candy they brought home was worth it :)
AP was dancing to the marching band.

We had quite a crowd of friends there!

Tumbling and Walking

AP continues to love her tumbling class! One of our sweet friends passed down more dancewear. I thought this little one was so cute :) (And it was AP's idea to pose herself on the fence!)

Last night we ran into our friends at the ballpark and guess who was showing off her new WALKING skills ?! It's little Pretzel! We miss seeing her all the time. Every time we see her she is so much more grown up.

Girls Night and Go Vols!

Thursday night was a night for the girls. We started with pedicures. One of us is very ticklish :)Good times. Good friends. Good strawberry tea.
Although the Vols had a less than stellar game yesterday, they still had 2 of the cutest fans ever!

Cowgirl Day

Today was Cowboy/Girl Day at AP's preschool. Fortunately for her, we have been through several cowboy days with C, so we had just the right outfit waiting for her.

She is one cute cowgirl!!!!

Drive. Party. Then Drive Some More

Friday after school, we hit the road for eastern N Carolina to celebrate Hubs' grandmother's 80th birthday. It is about an 11 hour drive to get there, but we stopped halfway and arrived just a few hours before the big party on Saturday.
The party was at her church. It is a beautiful old building. The kids and I wandered through the church and explored the courtyard.
We may have stopped to play in a few of the classrooms :)
The party was a grand affair. I think the last count was 190 friends in attendance! There were 3 large cakes, each had a different name that she has been called. Her nickname from the kids and grandkids is "Mud" :)

We were excited that the B cousins were there. This is adorable little B.
Here are all the cousins together, all smiling and looking at the camera, too!

Sunday morning we went to church with Hubs' parents, then to a local Mexican restaurant. I thought the boys were looking handsome in their different shades of blue.
After lunch we went to the park across the street. Yee Haw!

We took a ride on the famous Kiwanis train. Hubs' dad grew up riding this train, then Hubs rode it, and now our kiddos get to ride it.

That night we hung out with all the family that had come in town to celebrate. Uncle D was there from Chicago.

The 22+ hours in the car were worth getting to celebrate this milestone with Mud and spending time with family! We made it home last night and are trying to get back in the swing today. Good thing this is a short week at school :)
