Karate Kid

Last week we thought that C was testing for his next belt, but it turns out we still don't really know what we are doing when it comes to this karate thing! He was eligible to test, but didn't have enough stripes, so he tested for a stripe instead of a belt. Anyway, I had my camera there snapping a few pictures. So, here is our little karate kid in action!

And maybe, just maybe, he will actually have a belt test next week. But, your guess is as good as mine!

Marvelous Meet

This past Saturday was AP's 2nd gymnastics meet. I think it was called the Muletown Classic, or something like that. We had much better seats than at her last meet, so I was able to get a few more pictures.

Here the team is just stretching and chatting before things got started.

Their first event was the vault. That's Ms Tonie telling them they each get to do 2 vaults.

And that's AP's finish to her vault!Next they rotated to bars. Here AP is warming up.

Now saluting the judges before she starts her bar routine.She did great on bars! Next was beam. It was on the opposite side of the gym so there are no pictures. The last event was their floor routine.

They had some free dance time and a headstand contest while the judges tallied the scores.AP did great! She got 1st in vault, 1st in bars, 2nd on floor, 5th on beam, and 1st overall!

Here she is with her good friend. They got split into different age groups for the competition because there were so many girls there. And they both got first overall in their groups!!

Lost tooth and phone blogging

This my first attempt at blogging from my phone! We have had such an eventful weekend, including many out of town guests, gymnastics meet, celebrating birthdays, and last, but not least, AP lost her first tooth!!!

Wacky Late To School Wednesday

Today is Wacky Wednesday in kindergarten. Poor C, as a 2nd grader, they just stop doing all the fun stuff! (Or at least it seems that way to him)
Today was also the very first time in the 3 years that we've been going to "real school" that we have ever been late. We've cut it really close before, but this morning my alarm didn't go off at all and we woke at 7:04! There was no way to get there in time as the kiddos are late at 7:08! So then we just decided to take our time and be a little later :)

Green Day and Seuss Day

This past Friday was Green Day in AP's class,

and Seuss Day in C's class.
It wasn't really a dress up day for C, but I couldn't resist making him a Thing shirt :)
I love that he still loves it when I make him a special shirt!


We went to a friend's house after school and he was dressed as the Cat in the Hat for Seuss Day!They sure are cute :)
