Lions and Tigers and Kung Fu Pandas

Saturday night Hubs and I were debating on whether or not to go to a concert, but we had a change of heart and decided to have a family night instead. We took the kiddos to see Kung Fu Panda. C has been asking to go see that since the previews came out and McD's started pushing it with their toys. He was not let down and hasn't stopped talking about Po the panda. Last week when we went to the matinee I saw other parents carrying in little booster seats for toddlers. So this time I figured out where they hid the little seats and AP thought she was big stuff. The booster makes their seat stay down and keep from flipping back up and it also has a little cup holder and popcorn holder. Here she is thinking she's a real big girl in her seat at the movies for the second time in one week!

Today the kiddos and I spent the day at the zoo (C's zoo :) It went really smooth this time, even though it was the first time I had taken them solo. We usually have friends or family with us. I think the kiddos know what to expect now, so they obeyed so well! They got back in the wagon after each animal and let me pull them.
We had great timing today, too. We got to see a bird show and the kiddos absolutely loved it! There was a hawk named Diego and C thought that was way cool. The hawk was trained to fly right over the kiddos' heads. I couldn't believed how mesmerized they were.

We also got to Alligator Cove just in time for feeding time!

Then we ran into our old friend again who is the manager of food service and he treated us to lunch again! It was a great zoo visit.
Tomorrow we are heading to movies yet again (the free ones this time). Then we are tagging along on a business trip with Hubs to the 'Nooga. We might even try out their zoo!

Don't Be Jealous Of Our Seats!

Hubs was so excited to finally get to use one of the features of the good ol' minivan. You can flip the third row backwards and make seats to sit in for events such as ...watching fireworks! It was actually quite comfy. I think we had the best seats in the house (or parking lot).

Happy 4th!

Well, the bug didn't stop with C. Hubs and I both got to enjoy it :) Boompa and Baba both joined in the bug fun, too. Baba was sick on the day that AP was going to hang out with them. AP got to experience her first movie in the theater since C and I were already going. She did really well. Luckily, I had plenty of snacks to entertain her. C enjoyed the movie, too.
They both loved the sprinklers outside the theater even more!

We are looking forward to some burgers grilled up by Daddy tonight and going to see the fireworks in our city park. I'm sure there will be more pictures to come. I hope you all enjoy your 4th and thanks to all those who have served our country to make it possible!

Good Riddance

We dealt with a yucky tummy virus in C on Sunday night. Believe it or not, that was his first ever! I'll be happy if he never has another :) Knock on wood, the bug stopped with C.

Everyone felt better today and we had to get out of the house. We went to our second week of story time at our library. They are doing a space theme this summer and that is right up C's alley.

I don't know if you can see C in this picture, he was playing the part of the moon in the story :)

After the story we went with some friends to the park. The kiddos played and then we had a picnic lunch. After lunch we went to visit our ducks and they were mean today! One of them bit AP's finger!

Tomorrow AP is going to hang out with Boompa and Baba while C and I go to the movies. The local theaters do free matinees for children in the summer. You can't beat free entertainment!

Splashing and Snowcones

This morning we got out our slip and slide and a sprinkler that the kiddos got for their birthday. They had lots of fun playing in the water. Hubs had fun laughing at my head first slides. It's still fun in your thirties :)

After playing in the water, Hubs made us all Snowcones. Yum! The kiddos both went back for a refill.
