We witness a miracle every time a child enters into life. But those who make their journey home across time & miles, growing within the hearts of those who wait to love them, are carried on the wings of destiny and placed among us by God's very own hands. ~Kristi Larson~

More Deep Thoughts from C
At dinner tonight we were discussing how Jesus' love lasts forever. C had heard that specific phrase in a song in the car this afternoon. At the end of the conversation C said "Hmmm...my love doesn't last forever. I turn mine off at night."

Starting the Day with Confidence
C asked me this morning as we were walking out the door, "Mom, does this backpack make me look even cuter?"

Swing Lessons
When I picked C up from school yesterday he asked me if he could take "swing lessons". Apparently, some or most of the kids in his class can swing by themselves, you know pump their legs and make the swing go without someone helping. We have tried and tried to get C to learn how to do this, but he has never really been motivated to give it much effort. Peer pressure must have set in already! So this morning we went to the park for our lessons. Here are a few shots of C giving it his best effort. I have to admit he still has a long way to go. Coordination is not his best friend :) He was sure cute trying, though.
Hubs came to meet us after his golf game and brought us lunch.

First Day of the Second Year of Pre-K
Yesterday was C's first day back at school. We decided about midway through last year that it was best for him to repeat Pre-k for many reasons. He was so excited to be going back. He really loves his school. He is excited about his teacher, too. This means a lot because he LOVED his teacher last year. He switched rooms and is now in the classroom next to the one he had last year so the transition was a very easy one to make. Here he is ready and raring to go!
And, of course, not to be outdone, AP wanted to get in on the picture taking!
