Busy with Gus

This week C holds the coveted position of Gus' caregiver. Gus is a blue stuffed monkey that the kids in his preschool class take turns bringing home for the week. C was so excited to run to the car Monday when I picked him up and tell me that "I got Gus!" He was so cute, but honestly, on the inside I was thinking "uggh". You see, when you have Gus you are supposed to make a little scrapbook of your week with Gus and take pictures of him doing everything you do. You are also supposed to try to incorporate as many words that start with the letter of the week. So, although, I was unmotivated to add another project to my list this week, I have been enjoying it so far. I'll post a few of the pics later.

Okay, It's the preschool teacher in me... What's the letter of the week?
: )

This is a conspiracy on the part of teachers to suck the remaining life and time out of our overtired bodies, isn't it? *smile* Can't wait to see how it turns out.

That is so funny! It is currently my Chipmunk's week to care for Dean, his class dinosaur. I, too, groaned at the thought of another project. But Chipmunk is so excited and is pretending to feed/diaper/bath the dinosaur. Poor Chipmunk needs a real-live baby sister ASAP!

I remember one of the boards I was on once did something like this for homeschooled kids... it was neat, although Sophie wasn't in the age group that did it so I just got to see all the posts about it. Some of the parents were totally over the top but most just had snapshots of the Flat Stanley-ish character at the grocery or sleeping with the kids or at the dinner table just random pics with the kids kind of thing. It didn't pertain to a particular letter so that was probably easier and it was just photos uploaded to a yahoo group, so not exactly like putting together a scrapbook :)

Still... it sounds like fun... I bet C is enjoying it :)
