Putting Out Fires

This morning C and I went with the POP (Parents of Preschoolers) group at our church to tour our local fire department. C was in a very chatty mood. Every time the fireman asked questions, C was the first to answer. He even began telling the fireman all about us packing and moving to a new house. The kids really enjoyed looking at all the parts of the firetruck.
The siren was really loud! They look like they are in a police line-up! The fireman was showing the kids how things look through a heat sensor.
Baby G was checking it out, too.Several fellow bloggers have asked about the egg pics in my last post. I use picnik.com to edit photos sometimes. There is an option to create "focal color" and you can choose an area to be in color and the rest will be in b&w. Like this:
It's totally free and fun to play with!

I just discovered the isolated color feature on my camera this morning. How weird is that?

Anyway! Love the pics from the FD. My brother is a fire chaplain in his little town and our guys beg to go climb on the fire engines when we visit.

You're right those sirens are really loud close up!!

I remember when Joshua was C's age and he LOVED fire trucks. We had literally hundreds. He dressed up as firemen for Halloween and wanted to be a fireman when he grew up. It was obsessive. :-) Thanks for "taking me back".

Is it possible you have a little 'fireman' in the making? ;)

Jackie-
Yes, actually that's what he says he wants to be (for today, at least) :)
