Too Much Cute Under One Roof!

My sister, my niece, and Nanna are here visiting. My niece, S, has grown so much and is such a good baby! AP has absolutely LOVED having a baby in the house. She has been right next to the baby 24/7. She sits next to the baby and says "lap lap" until someone puts the baby in her lap. They have been too cute together.
Friday night we had more family over and my cousin, M, brought his new English Bulldog puppy. AP loved that "baby", too!

Will Work For Food

Thursday night we met Boompa and Baba at the Melting Pot to celebrate my, Boompa's, and Baba's birthdays. Ours all fall within 2 weeks of each other. We have made it a tradition to get together for fondue each year to celebrate because my dad and I really like it. C was all about the dipping. I think he ate more that night than he has eaten in a long time.

Hubs on the other hand does not really like it, but it's not his birthday, so he doesn't get a vote. He feels like he is having to work too much for his food. This picture captures his sentiments exactly!

R and R with Gus

C and Gus rest in C's bed

C and Gus at a restaurant

C showing Gus his room

C and Gus going for a ride

Daddy reading a Bible story to C and Gus

C and gus shopping for raisins

C and Gus watching mommy cook rice

So here are a few of the pics that I included in our Gus book. The letter of the week that we were supposed to try to incorporate was R. I ended up finding a really cute half size (6X6)scrapbook at the Dollar Tree for $1! It has turned out great.

Busy with Gus

This week C holds the coveted position of Gus' caregiver. Gus is a blue stuffed monkey that the kids in his preschool class take turns bringing home for the week. C was so excited to run to the car Monday when I picked him up and tell me that "I got Gus!" He was so cute, but honestly, on the inside I was thinking "uggh". You see, when you have Gus you are supposed to make a little scrapbook of your week with Gus and take pictures of him doing everything you do. You are also supposed to try to incorporate as many words that start with the letter of the week. So, although, I was unmotivated to add another project to my list this week, I have been enjoying it so far. I'll post a few of the pics later.

Racing, Reminiscing, and Rockin'

Yesterday was a busy day. I met my girlfriends at the crack of dawn to go to the Race Judicata at Percy Warner Park. We ran the 5K and then the 10K back to back. The courses were SO HILLY. It was really really hard for me. I am proud that I did actually beat my last 5K time (the zoo run), but the 10K kicked my tail. The number of miles wasn't the issue, it was the hills and I was tired from just doing the hills in the last race. But, overall we had a good time.

This is our little group before the race, happily oblivious to the hills....
These are our shoes with a Champion Chips on, one on each foot for the two races. That is how they keep your official time since everyone doesn't cross the start line at the same time.I must have been too tired to take a pic after the last race, but we did treat ourselves to some Smoothie King :)

Then later that night Hubs and I got to go on a date. We went back to the restaurant that we went to on our first date over 9 years ago. I got a birthday brownie(my b-day is Monday).
Then we went to hear Boompa's band play. Boompa was rockin' the keyboard. We had lots of fun and stayed out too late. I was really sleepy in church this morning!
