Boonshoft

We just got home from a great week in Ohio visiting with Nanna and having fun with friends. I am going to try to get caught up a little at a time.
**************************************
Thursday Nanna went with us to Dayton to find the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery. (another fun place that was free with our zoo membership) It was a very hands on museum geared towards preschool and younger school aged children. There were a few animal exhibits mixed in. Like this 16 foot python!

There was a child-sized grocery store and pizzeria, complete with pizza oven and pizza delivery truck. I think this was the kiddos' favorite part.

The big exhibit going on was How Things Are Made. It was very cool. There were different things to die cut and molds to fill. Both kids made their own plastic spoon. They could watch the mold fill up and then form, it cooled and then their spoons popped out. They made spirals, pressed pennies, and learned to assemble model cars.
We look forward to visiting there again on our next trip!
