Just An Added Benefit
Aside from all the other amazing benefits of parenting, there is also the flattery! As we were eating a gourmet dinner that I had thrown together tonight (that may or may not have included mac n cheese from a box), C said "Mom, you are the queen of cooks!" I definitely am not going to tell him otherwise ;)

I find this too funny since my kids love that stuff too! Let us just enjoy the compliments while we can.
Yes, Violet's most recent compliment was, "You're the bestest macaroni and cheese maker" - it was the boxed stuff. I make real mac and cheese among other things and there are definitely no compliments. Oh well. Maybe they will appreciate better food someday.
