Hunting and Hayriding

Saturday afternoon we were invited by friends to their parents farm for a hayride/Easter egg hunt/weenie roast. The weather was just perfect! The kiddos were most excited about the hayride I think. Here they are ready to go!

We drove to a clearing in the woods where the daddies hid the eggs.

Then the hunt was on.

We roasted weenies. If you can't tell, Hubs is holding on to the back of C's shirt for good measure. If any kiddo fell in the fire, it would be C! C just might stand for clumsy :)

AP couldn't wait to eat all that candy!

You can tell you've had a fun night when you leave with a cheeto-stained soot-rubbed face!

We are so thankful for our great group of friends.

student of the day

Today AP was a "Student of the Day" at her MDO program. She was so excited to see her very own poster hanging in the hallway. Our MDO director is the sweetest lady ever and she works individually with each kiddo to make their poster. So, if you don't have super duper eyesight, this is what AP had to say about herself:

*She does not like pickle juice (and she has never had it by the way, not sure where she came up with that answer)

*Her favorite food is noodles

*Her favorite color is yellow

*When she grows up she wants to be "Mama"

*Her current stats: 39.5 inches tall, 31 pounds

Get Your Motor Runnin'

Spring did come back! The weather this weekend was gorgeous. Friday night AP had her second soccer practice. I took a few pictures of her practicing at home before we left. She looks like she's having fun and is excited right?

Well as soon as we got there she was done. again. I'm not sure if it is nerves or attitude, but she does not want to participate at all in the little drills that the coach sets up for them. Granted, she is not the only one who doesn't participate. I think you have to have serious patience to coach this age group!

Saturday we went to watch one of our little friends play soccer. I'm hoping that watching her friend play motivated AP :) That afternoon some friends came over with their Gator. We now have enough riding toys for everyone to ride. We just blocked off our cul-de-sac and they drove and drove until the batteries died!

Best Find

So I am usually the queen of hitting all the consignment sales in the spring and the fall. I have a good friend who organizes them all into a calendar so we know when to be where :) However, this year I have only found the time to get to one! Encores and More is the huge sale in our area. I usually end up finding lots of clothes for AP and none for C. I scan the toys, but we don't need any toys at our house. This year was so different. I found several brand new with tags on shirts for C, no clothes for AP. But the best deal of the year goes to the Jeep. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves....
