What A Difference A Year Makes

We had our 2 year and 5 year check ups this week. At two years old, AP weighs in at 24.5 pounds and is 33 inches tall. She is perfectly proportionate and petite. She wowwed them with her vocabulary (we quit counting at 125 words) and her fine motor skills are also above average. We are still battling her nose that NEVER stops running, but hopefully we have a new plan of attack. At five years old, C weighs in at 36 pounds and is 44.5 inches tall. He once again is below the 10 percentile for weight and above the 75th for height. He is going to be so much taller and skinnier than his mom and dad!

Here are their pics from the photographer last week:
And as a point of reference, this is what they looked like a year ago. AP has changed so much! And, of course, C is getting more and more handsome :)
Check out how much AP has changed:

Oh, and this will be the view for us next week-

We leave for the beach bright and early in the morning!

His Zoo

C's wish was granted and we were able to take Daddy B and Grandma to "his zoo" today. There was a rain shower that morning that left it pretty humid for our visit, but not too bad. These first pictures are at the massive playground there. We decided to visit the playground first before it was too crowded. I have a hard time keeping up with C when it is packed in there. AP loved the jump area and, much to his dismay, C is now too tall to jump :(After playing, we headed through the zoo. We ran into an old friend, who was actually my boss when I worked as a hostess downtown in my college days. He is now the manager over the food service at the zoo. So we got to reconnect with an old friend and get free lunch!

So Many Pictures So Little Time

We had a fun cookout with Daddy B and Grandma at our house last night. Grandma taught me a little more about my camera settings, so I had some fun taking pics of the cute kiddos. (daddy's giving a peace sign)

Then this morning I had two little helpers for cupcake making before we headed to C's soccer party.

We had professional pics done this afternoon. They turned out really good. I was so surprised. AP can be so stubborn. She would let the photographer take one shot, then she would say "Good Job" and clap for her and get up. If I tried to convince her to sit back down she would lose it. Of course, I didn't want pictures of her screaming so I would try to appease her. I was crawling around on the floor and making an idiot out of myself just to keep her distracted enough to play along for a few pictures! I'll post a few of the good ones when I get them on this computer. Hope you are all enjoying your weekend!

Last Day of Preschool (Until August)

Today was C's last day of preschool for this school year. Bring on the summer fun!

Daddy B and Grandma are in town for the weekend and it will be a busy one. C has his soccer party tomorrow and then in the afternoon C and AP have an appt to get their pictures made. C informed me today that he wants to show Daddy B and Grandma "his zoo". We'll see if we can squeeze that in, too ;)

Zoo Trippin

Today C's class went on a field trip to the zoo. It was perfect weather for a day at the zoo. AP stayed with her babysitter and C and I enjoyed some overdue one-on-one time (if you consider a zoo full of people one-on-one time, but you know what I mean). C had a lot of fun and was worn out by the time we left. Here are a few pics from our day.

I guess so

We met some friends for dinner last night. This was the conversation we heard as we were walking behind the boys-
C: We are best buddies forever, right?
C's buddy: Um, I guess so...
I thought it was funny. Here are a few other pictures of the night. It was great weather for walking around outside.
