We witness a miracle every time a child enters into life. But those who make their journey home across time & miles, growing within the hearts of those who wait to love them, are carried on the wings of destiny and placed among us by God's very own hands. ~Kristi Larson~

I Still Need That Manual
Sometimes the questions and topics that the kiddos bring up catch me so off guard. I never feel prepared or like I have the right answer, maybe all parents feel like that? or maybe it's just me. Anyway, this morning on the way to school, my barely 3 year old says out of the blue "Who is God?". I was thinking, ok let's see how we can sum this up so that a barely 3 year old might understand it. I said "He made the world and He lives in heaven and He loves us very much." C goes on to tell me that God doesn't make the roads or the cars or the buildings. He's right, but how do you explain on his level that God does make the technology and abilities? Then C gets distracted and AP starts saying that she wants to see God. I try to explain that we can't see Him, but we know He is there. She is straining to look out the window up at the sky. Then she starts crying and saying that she wants God to go to a hotel with her! That is when this momma bailed and changed the subject! I need to regroup and address this topic when I'm not driving :)

God going to a hotel with her, huh? Sounds like she's got a lot on her mind she thinks God and a nice hotel pool can take care of! :)
