I said I would never let my children sleep with us in our bed. Now that happens at least twice a week :)
I thought I would be one of those moms that insists the kiddos eat their dinner. I now know they'll eat when they are hungry.
I said I would never ever be one of those moms that puts a harness on your child or one of those bracelets that connects you to them. I have.
I said I would never let my kids drink soda. Don't ask AP what her favorite thing to drink is!
I never thought I'd let my kids leave the house mismatched and uncoordinated. I have now learned the art of picking my battles.
I swore I would never drive a minivan. But now it is so comfy.
I swore I would never resort to bribery, but I have.
I never thought I would have to ban SpongeBob, but I did.
I never thought my "labor pains" would involve papercuts and layovers in Istanbul.
I never knew pieces of my heart would live inside these two amazing children.

totally agree with you there! i've done many a thing i swore i wouldn't.
p.s. i'm a bit anal about mixing colors. i even try to un-mix them after my son plays with it. i might have a sickness. ;)
Great post! I let Madi do things all the time that I thought I would never let her do.
Have a great weekend!
Andrea
You hit the nail on the head!
Great Nashville Predators sweatshirt, by the way! That's my team!
Ohhhh what a great, great post!!! I cracked up at the Playdough part- I hate mixing colors!
HAHA--one thing I never thought I would do
"Mommy needs a time out" and walk away and shut my door.
This whole post is so true. For me the harness issue. Never thought I would have to use one--but for a while that little monkey harness was my best friend!
Beautiful bloggy makeover, beautiful post -- especially beautiful children. Hope to see you tomorrow.
I'm a little OCD about that color mixing too -- especially with things like Playdoh, water colors, markers -- UGH. I have to learn to let go. :-)
What a great post! I had to laugh at many of those because some were things I too swore I would never do. Bryson loves playdoh also, but I am not as brave as you. He can only play with it outside.
Ha. We all do it :)
I haven't caved on the Play-Doh yet, but I'm right there with you on the clothes. My kids have left the house in some ridiculous looking outfits bc it's just NOT worth it! I let Layla wear one of her dance costumes out one night and about a thousand other parents stopped to say, "yep... been there!" lol.
You never cease to amaze me and cause me to dwell on how special you are and how amazing your family is!!!
Nanna will be there on Friday.
Awesome post. I'm in with you about "i'd never", those words have never tasted so sweet!
